取り付けから、インプレまで軽くエントリ。

ポチって4日後、やるねーDHL、という感じで本国ドイツからブツ到着。

事前のネット徘徊では、配線するコネクターは2箇所となっていたけど、届いてみると３箇所だった。
Connectだから少し違うのかな？

エンジンを切る→フッドを開ける→ドアロックをして15分以上待つ。
という儀式を経て、無事にインストール。
この儀式を怠ると、エラー表示が出て、非常に面倒なことになるとか。
取り付け自体はとても簡単、コネクターの向きだけ少し注意。
Race Chipを組み込む前にAppのアクティベーションを済ませておく必要あり。
本体に貼られたバーコードを、RaceChip appから読み込むだけでとても簡単。

Connectで設定できるモードはEFFICIENCY, SPORT, RACE の3パターン。
EFFICIENCYは燃費重視でマイルド、RACEはドッカン超過激ターボ、と、モード名からイメージするような意味ではなくて、あくまで３つのレベルで出力設定できるということらしい。

手っ取り早く効果を体感すべく、まずは最大出力のRACEモードにセット。
ノーマル122HP/200Nmに対し、159HP/260Nmまで出力アップ。

ついでに、WARM-UP TIMERもオン。
暖機中ためのタイマー機能だそうで、イグニッションオンから5分後にRACEモード介入、という設定にしてみる。
モード選択はエンジン始動中はロックされるけれど、タイマーは任意でスキップ可能。

エンジンスタートで画面はカウントダウン表示へ。
気分をアゲるためにもこういう演出は良いですね。

が、この機能、落とし穴があって...
アイドリングストップは、当然エンジン停止と認識されて、その度にモードセレクト画面に。
当然、エンジンスタートと共に、カウントもリスタートされる。
"SKIP TIMER"をタップするか、タイマーをオフにすれば良いんだけど、その都度app立ち上げんのか...？と。
appの立ち上がりやBluetoothとの接続は早いとは言え、面倒臭い。

とはいえ、今回は限ってはアイドリングストップが大いに役立った。
App立ち上げておけば、信号待ちの度に、オン/オフやモード変更をできるので、効果の違いを体感するにはちょうど良し。

後日、テクニカルサポートに、ホットスタート時には自動タイマースキップ機能を実装してくれ、って要望出したけど、「スマン無理だ! SKIPをタップして」との事。
まぁ、この手のギミックも、使うのは最初だけかな(笑)

と長い前置きで、とりあえず350kmほど走った感想。

もともと、踏めばしっかりついてきていたので、不満は少なかったこともあり、変化を顕著に感じるのは2000回転以降。
ピックアップが明らかに向上し、3速以降ターボが効き始める回転域では、おぉっ、とくる程度には出力に変化あり。
とはいえ、そこは159HP/260Nmなので、過度な期待は禁物。
唸る割に速度自体はそこまで出ていなかったり(笑
まぁ、それなりに"楽しい"と思える具合には仕上がってます。

EFFICIENCY、SPORTS、についても多少の程度差はあれど基本的には同じ、どのモードでも変化は十分。

ちなみに燃費。
燃費を意識して、首都高街乗り半々で11.4km/l、東名高速では15.8km/l。
Dynamic SelectをSportsにセットして燃費を考えないラフなアクセルでは、街乗り10.6km/l程度まで低下。

	<p>すっかり続報を忘れてた&#8230;RACE CHIP Ultimate Connect。<br />
取り付けから、インプレまで軽くエントリ。</p>
<p>ポチって4日後、やるねーDHL、という感じで本国ドイツからブツ到着。</p>

Connectだから少し違うのかな？</p>
<p>エンジンを切る→フッドを開ける→ドアロックをして15分以上待つ。<br />
という儀式を経て、無事にインストール。<br />
この儀式を怠ると、エラー表示が出て、非常に面倒なことになるとか。<br />
取り付け自体はとても簡単、コネクターの向きだけ少し注意。<br />

本体に貼られたバーコードを、RaceChip appから読み込むだけでとても簡単。</p>
<p>Connectで設定できるモードはEFFICIENCY, SPORT, RACE の3パターン。<br />
EFFICIENCYは燃費重視でマイルド、RACEはドッカン超過激ターボ、と、モード名からイメージするような意味ではなくて、あくまで３つのレベルで出力設定できるということらしい。</p>
<p>手っ取り早く効果を体感すべく、まずは最大出力のRACEモードにセット。<br />
ノーマル122HP/200Nmに対し、159HP/260Nmまで出力アップ。<br />

ついでに、WARM-UP TIMERもオン。<br />
暖機中ためのタイマー機能だそうで、イグニッションオンから5分後にRACEモード介入、という設定にしてみる。<br />
モード選択はエンジン始動中はロックされるけれど、タイマーは任意でスキップ可能。</p>
<p>エンジンスタートで画面はカウントダウン表示へ。<br />
気分をアゲるためにもこういう演出は良いですね。<br />

が、この機能、落とし穴があって&#8230;<br />
アイドリングストップは、当然エンジン停止と認識されて、その度にモードセレクト画面に。<br />
当然、エンジンスタートと共に、カウントもリスタートされる。<br />
&#8220;SKIP TIMER&#8221;をタップするか、タイマーをオフにすれば良いんだけど、その都度app立ち上げんのか&#8230;？と。<br />
appの立ち上がりやBluetoothとの接続は早いとは言え、面倒臭い。</p>
<p>とはいえ、今回は限ってはアイドリングストップが大いに役立った。<br />
App立ち上げておけば、信号待ちの度に、オン/オフやモード変更をできるので、効果の違いを体感するにはちょうど良し。<br />

後日、テクニカルサポートに、ホットスタート時には自動タイマースキップ機能を実装してくれ、って要望出したけど、「スマン無理だ! SKIPをタップして」との事。<br />
まぁ、この手のギミックも、使うのは最初だけかな(笑)</p>
<p>と長い前置きで、とりあえず350kmほど走った感想。</p>
<p>もともと、踏めばしっかりついてきていたので、不満は少なかったこともあり、変化を顕著に感じるのは2000回転以降。<br />
ピックアップが明らかに向上し、3速以降ターボが効き始める回転域では、おぉっ、とくる程度には出力に変化あり。<br />
とはいえ、そこは159HP/260Nmなので、過度な期待は禁物。<br />
唸る割に速度自体はそこまで出ていなかったり(笑<br />
まぁ、それなりに&#8221;楽しい&#8221;と思える具合には仕上がってます。<br />

EFFICIENCY、SPORTS、についても多少の程度差はあれど基本的には同じ、どのモードでも変化は十分。</p>
<p>ちなみに燃費。<br />
燃費を意識して、首都高街乗り半々で11.4km/l、東名高速では15.8km/l。<br />
Dynamic SelectをSportsにセットして燃費を考えないラフなアクセルでは、街乗り10.6km/l程度まで低下。<br />
RACE CHIP入れる以前のデータが少ないので、燃費が向上したかどうかは不明だけど、まぁ悪くはないかな。</p>
